Moving tote rental FAQ
Search clear answers about packages, service, payments, access, and equipment care.
Choosing a Package
How many totes do I need?
Our Tote Calculator starts with 20 totes for a studio or 1 bedroom, 40 for 2 bedrooms, 60 for 3 bedrooms, and 80 for 4 or more bedrooms, then adjusts for your belongings. You remain free to choose any package.
Can I add equipment?
Yes. Extra totes are $5 each and extra moving carts are $10 each. Requests made after booking require availability review and are not charged automatically.
Delivery and Pickup
How does tote rental work?
Choose a package and service date, review the complete price, and pay securely. We deliver clean totes, you pack and move, and we return after 14 days to collect them.
Is delivery and pickup included?
Standard Pineapple delivery and pickup is included with each package within the first 30 one-way driving miles. Any mileage charge is shown before payment.
Can I pick up or return the equipment myself?
You may request customer pickup or return. Mark or Jenn reviews each request and provides a private, safe meeting location when approved. Belden Village is only our service-area reference point and is not a pickup location.
Rental Length and Extensions
How long is the rental?
Every package includes 14 days. If the scheduled return falls on Thanksgiving, the following Friday, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, or another closed date, service moves to the next available business day.
Can I keep the totes longer?
Yes, when inventory allows. Request an extension before pickup. Extra-week rates are $60 Essential, $90 Plus, $120 Premium, and $150 Pro. An extension is confirmed after owner approval and payment.
What happens if a tote is late?
Contact us as soon as possible. Mark or Jenn reviews the situation, inventory, and next step personally before any extension or service charge is finalized.
Service Area and Safe Access
What areas do you serve?
We serve homes, apartments, dorms, and offices throughout Northeast Ohio. The first 30 one-way driving miles from our Belden Village service-area reference point are included. From 31–60 miles, the charge is $0.50 per excess mile for each service visit we make. More than 60 miles is personally reviewed for a custom quote.
Can you carry totes up stairs?
No. Delivery and pickup are ground-level only. Customers must provide a clear, stable path and a driveway, garage, porch, entrance, or loading-area placement.
What should I do with pets?
Secure all dogs and other animals before arrival and keep them secured until service is complete. If access is unsafe, the owner documents the attempt and contacts you before any fee or rescheduling decision is finalized.
What happens during bad weather?
Routine rain does not automatically cancel service. Mark or Jenn may adjust service for unsafe roads, snow, ice, flooding, storms, or unsafe property access. There is no added charge for an owner-initiated safety adjustment.
Payments, Deposit, and Cancellations
Is there a security deposit?
Online bookings include a refundable $100 security deposit. A good-condition return starts the Stripe refund after inspection. Any missing or damaged equipment is reviewed by a person and is never charged automatically.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel at least 72 hours before delivery for a full refund. For cancellations made less than 72 hours before delivery, the rental charge is nonrefundable; the security deposit is refunded if the equipment has not been delivered. Mark or Jenn reviews the final breakdown.
Cleaning, Damage, and Equipment Care
Are the totes cleaned?
Yes. Totes are inspected and cleaned between customers so they arrive ready to pack.
What should not go in the totes?
Do not pack hazardous materials, flammables, liquids likely to leak, illegal items, live animals, or items that exceed the tote's safe capacity.
What if a tote or cart is lost or damaged?
Normal wear is expected. Missing or unusably damaged equipment may be charged at the replacement rate disclosed during checkout and in the rental agreement. Evidence and an explanation are reviewed before a charge is finalized.
